The Phil Dando Big Band is a fifteen piece Swing Band consisting of saxophones, trumpets, piano, bass, drums, vocalists and Phil himself on trombone. Male vocals are drawn from the libraries of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé, Bobby Darren, Dean Martin and Matt Monro to name but a few.
The Band, along with the fabulous Vocal Group, produces a wonderfully rich sound as it recreates the music from the Big Band years. The original Big Band Library created by trumpeter and arranger Mike Blake and encompasses music from the Big Band Swing Era, Rat Pack songs, Ballroom, Latin and a good range of Classic Pop hits.
The band easily switches into party mode with a selection of hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Looking forward to this popular event, again this year, with a day to remember from the Phil Dando Sextet.
